What can you do for your immune system to improve?

Human bodies are made up of trillions upon trillions of cells. These cells combine to form organs or tissues that serve specific functions. When one cell dies, another cell replaces it. Chemical signals, called hormones, allow cells to communicate with each other. All bodily processes are controlled by hormones, including metabolism and immunity.

Hormones, chemicals that are secreted throughout the body by glands, are chemicals. They travel through the blood stream and act like messengers to control how our bodies function. Some hormones are made internally, while others are created outside the body.

When a hormone-producing gland releases their contents into the bloodstream, hormone production begins. Once hormones have been released, they travel through the body until reaching their target organ. In some cases hormones can remain active for only a few hours. Other hormones can remain active longer, and they continue to affect the body's functionality even after leaving the bloodstream.

Some hormones are produced in large quantities. Some hormones are produced in large quantities.

Some hormones are only produced at certain times in your life. The production of estrogen can occur during puberty and pregnancy, as well as menopause and old age. Estrogen assists women with breast development, bone density, and osteoporosis prevention. Estrogen promotes hair growth, and skin stays soft and smooth.

What's the difference between a virus & a bacterium?

A virus, a microscopic organism, is incapable of reproducing outside its host cell. A bacterium can be described as a single-celled organism which reproduces by splitting in two. Viruses can be as small as 20 nanometers, while bacteria can grow up to 1 micron.

Viruses are spread via contact with infected bodily liquids such as urine, saliva, semen and vaginal secretions. Bacteria can easily be spread from direct contact to contaminated surfaces and objects.

Viruses can get into our bodies through cuts and scrapes on the skin, bites, and other injuries. They can also be transmitted through the eyes, nose, mouth, ears, rectum, and anus.

Bacteria can enter our bodies through wounds, cuts, scrapes, burns, insect stings, or other breaks in our skin. They may also be introduced into our bodies through food and water as well as soil, dirt, dust, and animals.

Both bacteria and viruses cause illness. Viruses can not multiply within the host. They only cause disease when they infect living tissue.

Bacteria can grow in their hosts and cause disease. They can invade other areas of the body. That's why we need antibiotics to kill them.

Exercise: Good for immunity or not?

Exercise is good for your immune system. Your body creates white blood cells when you exercise that fight infection. Your body also removes toxins. Exercise can prevent diseases such as cancer and heart disease. Exercise can help reduce stress.

But, too much exercise can lead to a weakening of your immune system. Your muscles can become sore if you exercise too much. This can lead to inflammation and swelling. The body then needs to make more antibodies to fight infection. However, these antibodies can also cause allergic reactions and autoimmune diseases.

So, don't overdo it!
